Most Stylish Men Of The Week
From Johannes Huebl’s triple popped collar to Dave Franco and Zac Efron proving a light grey suit is all you need this summer, we present the best-dressed men of the past seven days.
Ryan Reynolds:
Ordinarily we’d call someone out for leaving his top button undone when wearing a tie. But the way Reynolds paired it with that superb coat-cardigan combination and those boots that are just the right side of beaten-up – not to mention the new longer stubble – gives him that kind of scruffy-but–smart vibe we wish more off-duty actors would adopt.
Bryan Cranston:
If you’re looking for a straightforward suit combination that always works, it’s hard to beat a navy suit, white shirt and striped tie, as proven by our current cover star.
Chris O’Dowd:
Speaking of cover stars, our former April frontman is currently committing to the urban lumberjack look by teaming his impressively full beard – grown out for his current role in Of Mice and Men opposite James Franco – with co–ordinating hiking boots (of course).
Dave Franco:
If you invest in a suit this season, make sure it’s light grey (such as this Band Of Outsiders number). Not only does it look smart split up with dark denim, but it means you can throw on a white shirt and black tie to smarted it up without looking like a waiter.
Zac Efron:
Dave Franco’s co-star also served to back up our grey suit argument on the same red carpet in this perfectly tailored Neil Barrett three-piece with Bally shoes.
Johannes Huebl:
Proof that if worn the right way, you make not one but three popped collars work.
Thom Evans:
Grey is an often-overlooked shirt colour, but you can see here how well it works to soften a black Dolce & Gabbana suit – especially when livened top with a burst of subtle colour.
Tinie Tempah:
If your shoes are loud, make sure the rest of your get-up is quiet. Side note: we suggest you follow Tinie’s lead and invest in a light baseball jacket for the summer – it’s going to be the only outer–layer you’ll need as it warms up.
Tom Odell:
Sometimes all you need is a standout Saint Laurent top layer to knock your look right out of the park. -gq-magazine
