Prince William and Kate Middleton will not be attending the 2025 BAFTA Film Awards, breaking from their usual presence at the prestigious event. Kensington Palace confirmed that the royal couple will not be present at the ceremony on Sunday, February 16.

However, the reason behind their absence has not been disclosed. Despite skipping the event, Prince William is set to make an appearance in a pre-recorded video package as part of the awards. Additionally, he is scheduled to visit the London Screen Academy on Wednesday, according to local media reports.

Prince William, who has served as the president of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) since 2010, is a regular at the annual ceremony. He typically walks the red carpet alongside Kate, making their absence this year particularly notable. The couple last attended the BAFTA Awards together in 2023.

However, in 2024, Prince William attended the event alone, shortly after it was announced that Kate had undergone abdominal surgery.
