According to Fordwich, “Prince William and Catherine are known to be glad to retain a distance from Meghan Markle, thereby avoiding any potential entanglement in future controversies.” She suggested that this approach reflects the couple’s steadfast commitment to their royal duties and their future roles as King and Queen Consort.
“Stability and service are paramount to the couple as they anticipate their lives being dedicated to both,” Fordwich explained. This unwavering focus on their responsibilities to the Crown seems to contrast sharply with the path Harry and Meghan have taken since stepping back from royal duties in 2020.
Fordwich also addressed the Sussexes’ recent projects, such as their high-profile deal with Netflix. She suggested that these ventures are at odds with the values upheld by the monarchy. “There isn’t anything furthering either of those values in Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s deal with Netflix,” she remarked.
