Prince Harry Could Be Welcomed Back, But Not Meghan, Says Host

Prince Harry may have a pathway to reconciliation with the Royal Family, but the same sentiment does not extend to Meghan Markle, according to GB News host Eamonn Holmes. Speaking about the Duke of Sussex’s future in the UK, Holmes suggested that the British public could “recondition” themselves to welcome Harry back after years of tension with the Royal Family.

However, when it came to Meghan, his response was far less forgiving. “I like the lad, I think the country would recondition themselves back towards him. I think he’d be welcomed back eventually. But her? No, no, no,” Holmes told the publication. His remarks come amid ongoing speculation about whether Harry could mend fences with his family following his high-profile departure from royal duties and his move to California with Meghan.

Since stepping down as senior royals in 2020, the couple has repeatedly made headlines for their criticisms of the monarchy, leading to strained relationships with King Charles, Prince William, and other members of the Firm.

Despite Harry’s recent return to the UK for his father’s coronation and later for King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, many believe a full reconciliation remains distant. However, Holmes’ comments suggest that public perception of Harry may be softening, even as criticism toward Meghan persists.

Meghan Markle has been a polarizing figure in the UK, often facing backlash from the British press and royal commentators. Her explosive interviews, including the bombshell Oprah Winfrey special in 2021, deepened the divide between the Sussexes and the Royal Family.

Reports indicate that King Charles and Prince William remain cautious about his return, especially after the release of his memoir Spare, which detailed personal grievances and royal tensions.

As for Meghan, the divide appears even greater. With figures like Holmes openly stating that the British public is unlikely to forgive or accept her back, the Duchess of Sussex’s relationship with the UK remains a subject of heated debate. For now, the possibility of Harry’s return remains open-ended, but as Holmes bluntly put it—when it comes to Meghan, the answer is a resounding “No, no, no.”
