Kate Middleton Abandons Plans to Reconcile with Prince Harry as She Gradually Returns to Public Life

Prince Harry’s attempts to mend the rift with his royal relatives appear to be falling short, as key members of the Royal Family, including Kate Middleton, seem to have shifted their focus away from the Duke of Sussex’s ongoing efforts. Reports suggest that the family has moved on from the drama surrounding Harry, leaving little room for reconciliation.
Kate Middleton, who is gradually returning to public life following her health recovery, has reportedly abandoned plans to reach out to Prince Harry to end the feud. The Duke of Sussex, who has expressed a desire to make amends with his family, may find his efforts in vain, as Prince William and Kate have seemingly changed their priorities.
Once close to Prince Harry, the Prince and Princess of Wales are now no longer on speaking terms with him, as their relationship has deteriorated over the past few years. Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond weighed in on the matter, explaining why Kate has distanced herself from any attempts to reconcile.
“Catherine has far, far too much on her plate to bother about trying to rope in an estranged brother,” Bond shared. “Her focus is on her husband, her children, and getting strong enough for a very gradual return to work.”
Bond also emphasized that Kate’s recent illness has likely strengthened her bond with Prince William, making her more committed to her immediate family. “I think her illness has made her marriage to William stronger than ever, and that was evident from the video,” she noted, referencing a recent appearance by the couple.
According to Bond, while Kate may have made previous efforts to bridge the gap between Harry and the rest of the family, her priorities have shifted. “You can try playing peacemaker for just so long, and it looks as though she did make some attempt to bridge the gap,” the royal expert said.
However, Bond believes that Kate’s loyalty now lies firmly with her husband. “In the end, your loyalty and your heart belong to your husband, and I don’t think Catherine will exert any pressure on William to hold out an olive branch to Harry unless he decides that’s what he wants,” she explained. “And that looks wholly unlikely for the foreseeable future.”
As the Duke of Sussex continues to navigate his life outside the Royal Family, it seems that any hope of reconciliation with William and Kate is becoming increasingly distant. With their priorities centered on their own family and responsibilities, it appears that the Prince and Princess of Wales have moved on, leaving Harry’s efforts to reconcile at a standstill for now.
