Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) is preparing to deliver a powerful and deeply personal speech on the House floor, revealing that she was secretly recorded naked without her knowledge. According to The Daily Beast, which reviewed a draft of Mace’s 20-page speech set for Monday, the congresswoman will publicly confront those she says “humiliated” and violated her through the unauthorized recording.

“I saw a video of another woman who was naked, clearly on a hidden camera, unaware she was being filmed,” Mace says in the draft obtained by The Daily Beast. “I turned up the volume to hear if there was audio. I heard my voice. I zoomed in on the video. The woman was me. I was in shock.”
Her speech continues, detailing her reaction upon discovering the footage. “I was horrified. I was humiliated,” she is expected to say. “I was violated.” Mace, a vocal advocate against abuse and exploitation, reportedly plans to address her alleged abusers directly in her speech.
“You’ve booked yourself a one-way ticket to hell. Nonstop. No connections,” her draft remarks state. “So I, and ALL of your victims, can watch you rot for an eternity.” In a dramatic moment, Mace is set to place her hand on a Bible while declaring her intent to break free from the trauma inflicted upon her.

“Today I am going to free myself from the monster who broke me,” she reportedly plans to say. The South Carolina congresswoman is also expected to incorporate symbolic props into her speech. According to the report, she will hold a small glass to represent the “two small vodka sodas” she says were given to her by an aggressor.

Additionally, she will bring a pair of handcuffs, challenging anyone who objects to her advocacy for women’s rights to “take me to jail.” Mace is set to use the speech to call for stronger legal protections against voyeurism and exploitation, making clear that such actions are not only morally reprehensible but criminal.
“If you film women naked without their knowledge, permission, or consent, it’s called voyeurism and it is illegal,” her draft states. “When you and your business partners pay each other, and you’re sexually abusing women, you are by definition a sex trafficker.”
Her speech is expected to make waves in Washington, drawing attention to the growing concerns surrounding digital privacy, abuse, and the need for legislative action to protect victims.
