And she’s very good at that.” Despite the formal gathering, freelancer Andrew Leyden reported that by Sunday afternoon, a jet associated with the First Lady was already headed back to New York City. It remains unclear if Melania Trump was on board.

The first lady’s departure comes amid fresh claims about her feelings toward Trump in author Michael Wolff’s latest book, All or Nothing: How Trump Recaptured America. In the book, Wolff asserts that Melania “hates” her husband and played a minimal role in his 2024 campaign, making few public appearances aside from the Republican National Convention.

“Whatever was going on — and no one had any idea what was going on, at least no more than what was plainly obvious — it had certainly not been helped by the Stormy trial,” Wolff wrote. “But that seemed hardly the only thing to explain the colder and colder winter.”
