“Donald Spent Sunday and Monday Flailing” Mary Trump on Her Uncle’s Fear of Kamala Harris
Former President Donald Trump is struggling with the prospect of running against Vice President Kamala Harris instead of President Joe Biden, according to his niece Mary Trump. In her latest email blast, she claims he’s “terrified.”
Mary Trump asserts that her uncle “hates being laughed at” and has deep-seated animosities. “Donald also hates women (especially strong women) and minorities, so you can see why current Vice President and presidential candidate Kamala Harris terrifies him to the point of incoherence,” she wrote. She notes his disdain by highlighting his derogatory remarks about Harris.
“He says she’s ‘crazy.’ His childish nickname for her is ‘laughing Kamala’ because she feels joy, and joy is something he has never experienced and doesn’t understand.” The former president’s fear and confusion are evident in his behavior. Mary Trump observes that he is floundering, unable to find an effective strategy against Harris. “Faced with the reality that he is now running against a vibrant, intelligent, experienced woman who is fully two decades younger than he is, Donald spent Sunday and Monday flailing, trying to find an angle of attack that would stick.”
Adding to Trump’s difficulties, Mary Trump points out his continued attacks on Biden, despite knowing Biden has decided to exit the race. This behavior reflects his inability to adapt to the new political landscape. Mary Trump also mentions the recent surge in donor support for Democrats and Elon Musk’s apparent withdrawal from a plan to fund a pro-Trump PAC.
“Donald and his sycophants, enablers, and backers are scared,” she wrote, emphasizing their growing desperation. Harris’s background as a prosecutor further complicates matters for Trump. She kicked off her campaign by contrasting her record of putting away criminals with Trump’s history of criminal behavior. This direct comparison undermines Trump’s attempts to discredit her.
In response to these challenges, Mary Trump notes the extreme measures being considered by Trump’s camp. “They’re so desperate and so afraid that they’re floating the idea of suing to force Biden to stay on the ballot,” she continued, labeling the idea as doomed to fail.
Despite the adversities, Mary Trump expresses confidence in the Democratic camp. “We, on the other hand, are more energized than we have ever been, and I believe that we are going to make history this year when we elect our first woman president and save democracy,” she wrote.
However, she acknowledges the tough journey ahead, stating, “Because of the right’s desperation and total lack of decency, we’re going to have to go through hell to get there — slogging through the muck of their racism and misogyny — but we will get there, and I believe the country will change for the better in the process.” Mary Trump’s insights paint a picture of a former president beset by fear and uncertainty as he faces a formidable opponent in Kamala Harris, amid a shifting and energized political landscape.
