Fox News host Kennedy Montgomery took aim at Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday, mocking the idea that Harris has faced sexism as a candidate. The remarks came during a panel discussion on Fox News, where co-host Kayleigh McEnany referenced a recent question posed to White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about whether Harris had to overcome sexism in her political career.

“People just cry sexism,” McEnany remarked, suggesting that accusations of sexism were often overused. In response, Montgomery sarcastically commented, “Oh no, that poor thing. We should get her a little blanky.” She continued her mocking tone, criticizing the notion that Harris needed any special treatment as a leader.

“When you’re going to be the president of the United States, when you’re going to lead the free world, when you are going to fight against tyranny and oppression, when you are going to defend and support Americans, you have to have a backbone of steel regardless of what is inside your bathing suit,” Montgomery said.

She argued that any candidate for the presidency should be able to handle the challenges of leadership without requiring additional support. “If we constantly have to help and prop up a candidate so they can do the basic facets of the presidency, then that person is not ready for the job regardless of gender,” she added.

The comments from Montgomery drew attention to ongoing debates about whether Harris has faced unfair scrutiny as a female politician, but the Fox News host dismissed such concerns, instead emphasizing the need for resilience and strength in any presidential candidate.
