DEVASTATED family and friends have paid tribute to a “kind and loving” teenager who tragically died after being hit by a falling tree in Carlton in Lindrick, Nottinghamshire. Police were called to the scene on Saturday at 11:21 am following reports of a serious incident. Despite the efforts of police and paramedics, 16-year-old Kamil Hubert was pronounced dead at the scene. The teenager had just completed his GCSEs the day before his untimely death.

Nottinghamshire Police have arrested two men, aged 28 and 31, on suspicion of manslaughter in connection with the incident. Additionally, a 28-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All three individuals remain in police custody.

Kamil’s heartbroken friends and family have organized a GoFundMe page to raise money for his funeral. His cousin, Aleksandra Ostapczuk, created the page to support Kamil’s mother. Aleksandra wrote, “On 15th June, my aunt’s 16-year-old son tragically died. He just finished his GCSEs the day prior to the incident. We are trying to help her raise money to cover the costs of the funeral for him. Kamil was a kind and loving boy who was taken away from us way too early.”

The community has rallied together, raising over £4,000 towards the funeral expenses. The Carlton in Lindrick Club, located in Worksop, is hosting a fundraising event for Kamil on Saturday. Balloons will be released at 3 pm in Pit Field as part of the event. The club has requested donations of raffle prizes to be brought in before June 21, told The Sun.

An organizer wrote on the club’s Facebook page, “There will be cake sales and donation buckets for anyone willing to help this local family at their most difficult time. They have asked for everyone attending to wear blue to celebrate his life.”

Tributes to Kamil have been pouring in on social media. Jimmy Smith wrote on Facebook, “So sad, RIP young lad, thoughts with the family.” Devon Rodgers added, “Rest in paradise Kamil, so young. You’ll be remembered for your cheeky smile and the jokes you’d crack. Can’t believe it was only yesterday I saw you on the way to work. Forever 16.”

Another user commented, “So sad, he only left school on Friday. Thinking of his family and friends at this very sad time.” Kamil’s sudden and tragic death has left the community in mourning, with many coming together to support his family during this incredibly difficult time.
