The best way to reach Zermatt is by train as cars are not allowed there. You can only travel by cars till Täsch while the remaining distance of 7km must be traveled via taxi or train.

One can also enjoy going through the tunnel to the bottom of the funicular. You can also enjoy cycling on the occasion rocky and steep path behind the mountain as well.

• Matterhorn:
As Zermatt is surrounded by the beautiful mountain ranges which also includes Switzerland’s highest mountain Monte Rosa (4634meters above sea level) but it is famous for the Matterhorn which is located on the border between Italy and Switzerland. Matterhorn is 4,478 meters high and is one of the highest mountains of Switzerland. Its ancient trails which link Italian and Swiss valleys are ideal for trekking.
