Watch: President Joe Biden completely ignored while Democrats lavish praise on former President Barack Obama
On Tuesday, former President Barack Obama triumphantly returned to the White House and quickly regained his place as the center of the Democratic universe.
President Joe Biden remarked of having his former boss back in the White House, “It feels like the good old days.”
In his opening remarks, Obama introduced “Vice President Biden” before correcting himself.
“That was a joke!” he exclaimed.
“It is good to be back in the White House. It’s been a while,” Obama added. “I confess I heard some changes have been made by the current President since I was last here. Apparently, Secret Service agents have to wear aviator sunglasses now. The Navy Mess has been replaced by a Baskin-Robbins. And there’s a cat running around.”
Biden, for his part, joked about being Barack Obama’s Vice President.
Joe Biden, on the other hand, was not feeling the love from his fellow Democrats, wandering around aimlessly while Barack Obama soaked up all the attention. Watch:
It was a terrible sight to see Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Democratic Senator James Clyburn, and even his own vice president, Kamala Harris, cozying up with Barack Obama as Biden pleaded for personal attention in vain.
In other instances, Biden appeared to be completely overwhelmed by Obama.
A haunting face of loneliness and the stress lines that come with being the most powerful man in the free world can be seen on the president’s face. Or, at the very least, the man who ought to be.
