Sex with ‘No Strings Attached’
‘No Strings Attached’ is about, what they call most of the time in the flick, ‘fuck buddies’ who use each other for sex! Emma (Natalie Portman) and Adam (Ashton Kutcher) both are not looking forward to start a relationship, so they simply keep their friendship to the boundaries of ‘friends in the pleasure land’ they can have as much sex as they want but there are definitely ‘No Strings Attached’ which means no jealousy, no love, no commitments, no relationship, which is rationally impossible, so we all know what the end is gonna be!
On the very first place, the film reminds of ‘Love and Other Drugs’ minus the disease. Maggie (Anne Hathaway) had a reason to move apart from Jamie (Gake Gyllenhaal) but Portman is rather complicated, she’s strong, busy, able-to-live-alone working doctor allergic from relationships. In her words, relationships are like ‘emotional peanut allergy’ to her. Whereas, Ashton Kutcher is a bit sensitive and romantic, he does the girly thing by falling in love with her, and she does the guy thing by resisting the love that’s blooming between the two.
The film might not be a super hit romantic comedy, but yes it’s a good naughty film for having some fun. There is some naughty sex talk and there are some naughty scenes. Besides, you can also expect some romantic scenes like a CD of period mix especially made for Emma’s monthly period, a bouquet of carrots and their first and last date.
The light acting done by Portman and Kutcher is brilliant I must say, but it’s a waste of the immense talent that they have. Amidst of kink and naughty humor, there blooms a cute love story that makes this film worth watching at the end. It’s definitely a good time pass to watch with your sweetheart this weekend.
‘No Strings Attached‘ is rated R (Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian). Some talk, some action.
