Lynn Ban, celebrated jewelry designer and star of Netflix’s Bling Empire: New York, has passed away at the age of 52. Her son, Sebastian, confirmed her death on Instagram, sharing that she passed on Monday, January 20, just weeks after undergoing emergency brain surgery following a ski accident.

Sebastian posted a touching tribute alongside a series of photos capturing moments with his mother throughout the years. “I know she wanted to share her journey after her accident and brain surgery, so I thought she would appreciate one last post sharing the news to people who supported her,” he wrote.

Although many of Ban’s fans only knew her from her public life, Sebastian offered a glimpse into her personal side, describing her as an extraordinary mother and friend. “She was and always will be my best friend, the best mother to me, and someone who cared for all,” he continued, according to Fox News. “She always had a smile even when times were tough during her recovery process. She was a fighter until the end and is the strongest woman I know.”

Sebastian promised to honor his mother’s memory, vowing to ensure her legacy is celebrated. He concluded his heartfelt post with a personal message: “I would just like to say that I will miss you forever and to end in something she always told me, ‘I love you more than life itself,’ mum.”

Ban’s tragic passing follows her revelation about a near-fatal brain bleed sustained during a ski accident on Christmas Eve. On December 30, 2024, she shared her harrowing experience of undergoing emergency surgery and her ongoing recovery.

Ban’s vibrant personality and talent as a jewelry designer were key highlights of her career, as well as her role on Bling Empire: New York, where she captivated audiences with her charisma and resilience.

She is survived by her husband, Jett Kain, and her son, Sebastian, who have asked for privacy during this difficult time. Fans, friends, and colleagues have since flooded social media with tributes to Ban, remembering her as an icon and a loving mother. Her legacy, both on and off-screen, will continue to be celebrated by those who knew her and admired her work.
