“I Still Believe My Forever Person Exists”: Kenya Moore Opens Up Post-Divorce

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore has officially finalized her divorce from Marc Daly, marking the end of what she described as one of the longest celebrity divorces. Court documents reveal that Moore, a prominent figure in reality television, earns a substantial monthly salary of $89,050, vastly outstripping Daly’s reported $5,000, as per InTouchWeekly.

Despite the significant disparity in earnings, Daly has agreed to contribute $2,000 per month for child support, along with an additional $1,000 monthly towards a college savings plan for their 5-year-old child, Brooklyn. Radar Online reports that the settlement excludes any spousal support or alimony for either party.

The divorce, finalized in 2023, also restored Moore’s name to Kenya Summer Moore and established her primary custody of Brooklyn. An interesting component of the agreement grants Moore the final say on whether Brooklyn appears on the Bravo reality show. The legal documents stipulate that Moore must discuss any on-camera opportunities for Brooklyn with Daly, ensuring he is informed about the content and nature of the appearance.

Speaking to People magazine, Moore expressed relief and optimism following the court’s decision. “After more than three years of litigation, I have finally been granted a divorce. I want to thank everyone who prayed for and uplifted me when I needed it the most,” she stated. She also shared her continued belief in love, saying, “I’m excited for this next chapter in my life and being the best mom I can be for my daughter, Brooklyn. As a hopeless romantic, I still believe my forever person exists and know I’ll have my happily ever after ending after all.”

The divorce proceedings shed light on contentious moments, including an incident involving Moore’s co-star Marlo Hampton, who allegedly kicked a door in Brooklyn’s presence. Moore clarified that her daughter was not exposed to the incident, emphasizing that Brooklyn was in another room and unaware of the confrontation.

Moore also reflected on the challenges of having her marital troubles broadcast on national television. “It was a struggle just to work through our differences even during the show. A lot of it was exposed, just how we weren’t getting along or weren’t on the same page,” she shared. “As I said before, I felt like my voice was stifled a lot because I felt like I had to be a certain kind of wife to get along with him and his personality. That’s not what a marriage is about.” This resolution marks a new beginning for Moore, who remains hopeful about the future and her chances of finding lasting love.
