Veronica Varekova
Veronica Varekova is a successful and talented Czech supermodel. Veronica’s life does not revolve around her career as a model but she is also an avid painter. She is also an active sports person, who can often be found on the golf courses, ski slopes, and tennis courts around the world. The trilingual model has a degree in Psychology and Education and is fluent in three languages. Veronica’s career came to a full swing when the 5’10” modelworked for Victoria’s. She has also modeled for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition several times since 1999.

Veronica Varekova was born on 19th June 1977 in Olomouc, Czech Republic.
• Modeling Career
Veronica came into the spotlight when she became a model in 1996. She moved to New York City at age 19 when she was signed by Next Model Management. Veronica came to New York to join Parsons School of Design but later she chose modeling instead to start her career. To make her career flourish, she moved to Europe after it became clear that she would be more successful there.

At 5′ 10-inches, Veronica has an imposing physique. In 1998, she appeared on the ramp modeling for Jean Charles de Castelbajac, Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Fendi, Krizia, and Salvatore Ferragamo. She was again seen modeling for Lolita Lempicka in 2001.

In Australia, Veronicawas a cover girl of Marie Claire and Vogue. She was also a cover girl for Elle in her home town Czech Republic. She appeared on the cover of Cosmopolitan in France.Veronica has appeared on the cover of the swimsuit edition a total of six times in 1999-2002, 2004, and 2005. Veronica’s career reached its peak when she modeled for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in US. • Social work for the environment
Veronica is named one of the first Goodwill Ambassadors to the African wildlife foundation in 2009 because of her passion in wildlife. Veronica first met with the African wildlife Foundation Team in Tanzania on the trip when she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 2008. As a Goodwill Ambassador, Veronica will aid to raise awareness to support initiative to focus on conserving landscapes, protecting endangered species, and empowering local communities working in AWF’s African Heartlands. In addition to this, Veronica also volunteersat the SZPD Orphanage in her home town for over five years.

Veronica got married to a Czech Canadian professional ice hockey player Petr Nedved on July 2004 but they are separated now.
