Nicole Scherzinger imagesShe turned heads at the BRIT awards in a black bondage-inspired outfit, but Nicole Scherzinger opted for an even racier look for the after party. The former X Factor judge changed into a an eye-popping bra top that barely contained her cleavage to celebrate at a Sony event at the Arts Club in London. It was part of a blush coloured matching ensemble which also featured a tight pencil skirt and jacket. Nicole Scherzinger appearance at the bash came after it was announced earlier in the day that she had been signed a deal with Sony Music.

The band – consisting of Alex Turner, Jamie Cook, Matt Helders and Nick O’Malley – scooped the Best British Group prize and British Album of the Year for their LP ‘AM’ at the glamorous event, held at London’s O2 Arena.

Nicole ScherzingerAfter accepting the award for Best Group – which was presented by Lily Allen – Alex said: ‘That 15 quid we put on One Direction has gone down the drain. There’s a lot of people we need to thank, but they need to hear their names read out as much as you need to hear of people you don’t know.’

Picking up Best Album later in the night, which saw them become the first band to do the double – win Best British album and Best British group – three times, Alex added: ‘That rock’n’roll, it looks like it’s fading away, but it’ll never die.

Direction groupMeanwhile, David Bowie also won big after securing the Best Male Solo Artist accolade, 30 years on from his first win in 1984, after beating the likes of Jake Bugg, James Blake, John Newman and Tom Odell. The 67-year-old singer, who is the oldest recipient of an award in the BRITs history – was unable to attend the gala and chose Kate Moss to collect his prize for him.

Niall Horan imagesEllie Goulding kicked off the night’s events after being crowned the Best British Female Artist, before taking to the stage to give an energetic performance of her hit ‘Burn’. Other performances included; Beyonce with her track ‘XO’, Bruno Mars with ‘Treasure’, Katy Pretty with ‘Dark Horse’ and the Arctic Monkeys with their song ‘R U Mine’.
