The first of our music news stories revolves around the first album of new Michael Jackson material, since the King of Pop’s death last year. This popular music will be led by a track he recorded with Lenny Kravitz, for his INVINCIBLE release. MJ took the track off his album previously because he felt it was “too rocky” for the album, but popular music producers have now decided it’s the best-unreleased track from the superstar’s recent back catalog.
Other music news involves Die Hard man, Bruce Willis, who has helped the popular music band- GORILLAZ, to set a new record. The band’s latest music video starring the action hero has become the most successful music video promo to premiere on YouTube.
The Feel Good Inc hitmakers’ debut album, which sold seven million copies, earned the musicians an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records, as the Most Successful Virtual Band.
Now, 10 years later, their latest music video for the new single, Stylo, has become the most successful music video to debut on the website. The Bruce Willis starring music video clip was viewed a record-breaking 900,000 times in its first 24 hours on 2nd March, and beat out previous music video record-holders U2 and Weezer!
Music news is all a buzz with Lady Gaga and Beyoncé unveiling their latest music video for their “Telephone” tune which is over a whopping nine minutes long.
Directed by Lady Gaga‘s “Paparazzi” music video genius, Jonas Akerlund, the “Telephone” music video is full of action, prison fights, make-out scenes, mass poisoning, and bucket-fulls of skin-baring outfits! This latest music video from the crazy duo sees Beyoncé adorning the gothic, rocker look with black lipstick, driving a flaming “Pussy Wagon” and locking hands with Lady Gaga for a “Thelma & Louise” revenge-style fantasy finale. “To Be Continued…” pops up on the screen, which means these two divas may appear in another music video sequel.
More music news stories include a member of the popular music group Girlicious, being charged in California with drug possession with the intent to sell. Scandalous! Music news stories report that Glendale police allegedly found a dozen plastic bags of cocaine in 21-year-old, Natalie Mejia’s Gucci bag.
Lastly, music news involves Lil Wayne and his long-awaited new album, “Rebirth,” which is his first full-length since the multimillion-selling “Tha Carter III” in 2008, and the rapper’s first attempt at recording a true rock record. Rebirth” also finds Wayne exploring popular music style-punk rhythms. Recent music news, however, reports that the rapper began a one-year jail sentence for weapons possession charges this week.
