Hillary Clinton Opens Up About Her Marriage life with Bill Clinton in ‘Gutsy’ Trailer
In the first teaser for Clinton’s docuseries with daughter Chelsea, the pair travel the country chatting with very famous women—Hi, Kim Kardashian!—about their eponymous gutsiness.
The Broad City episode devoted to Hillary Clinton was just a warm-up. The politician is now starring in her own tv show alongside her daughter Chelsea Clinton. While promoting her “But Her Emails” merch, Clinton will be traveling across the country to meet famous women to discuss what makes them brave in a new docuseries titled Gusty.
(Apparently selling $30 pink hats and $12 enamel meme-y pins laden with “But Her Emails,” a phrase no one has cared about since the politician’s 2016 election loss, is what now passes for “gutsy.”)
While the majority of the Gutsy trailer is a montage of mother and daughter Clinton cackling distractingly loudly at restaurants with various famous women, the teaser’s climax comes when Clinton discusses why she chose to stay with her husband Bill Clinton after the 1998 Monica Lewinsky scandal. In the trailer, Clinton says, “That doesn’t mean it’s right for everybody.” That’s all for now, but it appears she’ll go into greater detail about the subject later.
In the eight-episode series, the Clintons will tour the country, interviewing “extraordinary, courageous, and resilient women who have made an impact in their community and on the world.” The trailer gives us a taste of what to expect: Women talk about what it means to be a woman. They are artists. They are going bowling. They both laugh. (One Twitter user joked the promo shot looked like “bootleg Hacks.”)
The renowned cast includes everyone from Kim Kardashian and Amy Schumer to Gloria Steinem and Dr. Jane Goodall. The only thing that connects most of these people is that they are famous women. Or, more accurately, “gutsy” women. Kim Kardashian is brave for using private jet fuel.
Glennon Doyle, Mariska Hargitay, Goldie Hawn, Kate Hudson, Megan Thee Stallion, Amber Ruffin, Wanda Sykes, Symone, Abby Wambach, Natalie Wynn, and many others were also interviewed by the Clintons. Gutsy, on the other hand, has a fantastic cast full of exciting celebrities (Law & Order fans are already losing their minds over Mariska’s appearance) and activists to meet in a more intimate setting.
