Emma Watson’s Sexy Cut-out Neck Dress at Noah Premiere
She’s set to star in upcoming controversial film Noah, and actress Emma Watson made sure all eyes were on her when she attended the European premiere of the movie in Berlin. The 23-year-old stepped out in a long navy gown for the event which was held at the Zoo Palast theatre on Thursday evening, teaming the look with Christian Louboutin heels. Watson plays daughter-in-law Ila, to the pre-flood Patriarch (played by Russell Crowe), who builds an ark to save God’s creations in a world mired by human sin. Her elegant outfit put her back at the top of the fashion game. It had a halter neck and a cut-out detail at the back, which was held in place with a trailing piece of ribbon. She slicked her long hair back and wore a pillarbox red lipstick as she posed confidently on the red carpet. Emma Watson touched down at Berlin Tegal airport a day earlier and the star, who has just finished her role as editor for fashion magazine, Wonderland, looked impeccably stylish. Douglas Booth, who plays Emma’s love-interest in the movie, Shem, also arrived at the prestigious event and matched Emma’s look perfectly with a two-piece suit in the same hue.
The dashing actor teamed his outfit with a crisp white shirt and also wore his hair slicked back, just like his pretty co-star. He took time to pose for a selfie with some of his delighted fans. Ray Winstone, who plays a character called Tubal Cain in the film, looked dapper in a gum-metal suit which he wore with smart brown brogues. Emma Watson never seems to put a foot wrong when it comes to fashion. Pictured arriving at the airport the day before, she wore a knee-length black wool mix coat, which she belted in at the waist.
Carrying a black handbag and finishing her look with matching shiny ankle boots and simple silver jewellery, the Harry Potter actress looked excited to be touching down in the European city. Emma Watson stars in the film based on the biblical tale alongside Russell Crowe who plays Noah, Douglas Booth who plays Shem and Jennifer Connelly who plays Noah’s wife Naameh. The $75million film has attracted criticism from both Christians and Muslims for its take on the Biblical hero.
It was banned in three Arab countries after religious leaders complained at the way it depicted the Biblical figure – who is also a prophet in the Koran. Emma Watson released the official Noah trailer to her Twitter followers on Monday, which saw her introduce the clip in a blooper-style reel before the actual trailer. Emma was seen experimenting with different ways of introducing the footage, before eventually giving fans a heartfelt plea to let her know their thoughts on the upcoming film.
The trailer itself then opens with Emma Watson character Ila and Douglas Booth’s Shem indulging in a race through the forest before giving in to a passionate embrace among the foliage. But the pair’s PDA is interrupted by a large amount of birds flying above – an ominous indication of the terror to come. Russell Crowe’s Noah is then seen telling wife Naameh, played by Jennifer Connelly: ‘Our family has a great task.’Ila then tells her father: ‘You saw the wickedness of man, and I knew you would not walk away.’ Noah is released in the UK on April 14th and in the US on April 28th.
