ANOTHER racy Outfit by Ellie Goulding
She’s becoming known for her penchant to take to the stage in rather revealing ensembles. And Ellie Goulding continued her current sartorial trend when she performed in Washington City on Sunday evening. The singer took to the stage in a black cut-out crop top paired with high-waisted sheer white trousers as she performed for the crowds at Echostage. Ellie, 27, looked confident as she strutted around the stage and she completed her outfit with a sprinkle of sparkle on her forehead and sturdy black boots. As she tossed her lionesque blonde mane during the performance, the Goodness Gracious hitmaker made sure to all eyes were on her throughout the show. Afterwards Ellie Goulding shared a picture of her stage outfit on Instagram with the caption: ‘Thank you DC, you were the best x’. The blonde beauty also added a shot of herself on stage and mocked her look of joy as she wrote: ‘That cheesy smile’.
Ellie recently opened up about her sense of style to Hunger magazine as she insisted that she chooses to wear provocative outfits because they look good, and not to get ahead in the music industry. She said: ‘I don’t have anything against being sexy. If a popstar exposes herself or doesn’t wear a lot, it doesn’t really bother me the way it bothers other people.’I feel like people are less fussed about it in America, whereas in the UK people are a little more reserved. But if someone’s making good music, I don’t care about anyone else.
‘Some of the most successful girls don’t portray themselves as sex symbols. Lorde is doing exceptionally well – she’s been number one in America for ages and she doesn’t dress like a skank. Lily Allen is doing really well and she doesn’t dress provocatively. If you make good music, then that’s all you need.’ Ellie also explained that her sense of style was actually more linked to her rise in body confidence more than anything else.
She added: ‘I think I feel more confident with how I look and my body in general. I’ve always exercised and eaten fairly well, and I’ve given up eating meat and fish. I feel like I’ve matured – I can wear what I want now and be confident.’All the awkwardness of my teenage years and early twenties has passed. You just become comfortable and everything falls into place.’The singer is currently dating McFly bassist Dougie Poytnter, with the couple recently admitting that they have been together since last year.
