Chris Hemsworth revealed that he sought his kids’ opinions before agreeing to voice a character in the upcoming Transformers film.

In an interview with People Magazine, the 40-year-old actor shared how his three trusted advisors—his children—played a crucial role in his decision to take on the role of Orion Pax, also known as Optimus Prime. He recalled, “I had gone to my kids and said, ‘What do you think?’ And they said, ‘You have to do it.'”

The upcoming film features an impressive cast, including Scarlett Johansson, Jon Hamm, and Laurence Fishburne. Hemsworth takes over as the future leader of the Autobots from the iconic voice actor Peter Cullen. The Thor actor explained that his children, India Rose, Sasha, and Tristan, significantly influenced his decision and even contributed during the recording process.

“They were in the background as I was recording a lot of these lines,” Hemsworth said. “They were kind of yelling suggestions or trying to distract me. It was cool.” Transformers One, directed by Josh Cooley, is set to release on September 20, 2024. The film promises to bring a fresh take on the beloved franchise, with Hemsworth’s portrayal of Optimus Prime adding a new dimension to the character.

Hemsworth’s involvement in the film showcases not only his dedication to his craft but also his commitment to his family, valuing their input in his professional decisions. His children’s excitement and support for the project highlight the importance of family influence in his career choices.

As fans eagerly await the release of Transformers One, Hemsworth’s unique approach to preparing for his role, with the help of his children, adds a personal touch to the highly anticipated film.
