John Legend Praises Taylor Swift for Endorsing Kamala Harris Despite Backlash

Taylor Swift recently received support from fellow artist John Legend after she faced criticism for endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris on social media. On September 11, Swift took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message, urging her fans to use their voting power. However, her political stance sparked a backlash from some of her followers.
In response, the All of Me singer extended his support for the Grammy Award winner during an interview with The Independent. Legend commended Swift’s decision to speak out despite the risks.
“It was always really difficult for Taylor to speak out for liberal and progressive candidates coming from the country music world, where the fanbase is a lot more conservative,” Legend explained. “It was riskier for her to start speaking out about politics than it is for me. I always respected the fact that she was willing to take that risk.”
