Pamela Anderson Reveals Heartbreaking Regret About Her Marriage to Tommy Lee: ‘We Used to Talk a Lot More’
Pamela Anderson recently shared her feelings about her relationship with her ex-husband Tommy Lee, revealing that their communication has significantly decreased over the years. In an appearance on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live on January 9, the 57-year-old actress and model expressed a desire for a better rapport with her former spouse.
“I mean, we used to talk a lot more,” Anderson admitted. “Not recently, unfortunately, but you know, I wish we did have a better rapport right now.” Anderson, who was married to the 62-year-old Mötley Crüe drummer from 1995 to 1998, noted that their relationship has changed, despite the fact that they share two sons—Brandon Thomas, 28, and Dylan Jagger, 27.
As Dylan is now engaged, Anderson expressed hope for improved communication in the future, especially as the family expands. “My youngest son is engaged, and we’re gonna have grandkids together,” she said. “It’ll be OK, eventually. It’s just kind of a moment right now.”
The couple’s whirlwind romance began in December 1995, culminating in a spontaneous wedding just four days later in Cancún, Mexico. Despite the initial passion, their relationship faced many challenges, including the infamous theft and release of their private tape, which led to a $10 million lawsuit, told Us Weekly.
Lee previously opened up about the strain the tape incident caused during a 2014 20/20 interview. “Not being able to do anything … about [the tape] was adding so much frustration and stress to our relationship. It was just consuming us,” he explained.
Their marriage ultimately ended in 1998 when Lee was arrested for felony spousal battery and sentenced to six months in jail. Anderson later described the divorce as the “hardest, lowest, most difficult point of my life” in her 2023 memoir Love, Pamela. Though they briefly reunited after Lee’s release, their relationship never fully recovered.
Despite the years of challenges and heartbreak, Anderson remains hopeful that the future holds a better relationship between her and Lee, especially with the addition of grandchildren to their family.
