Ozzy Osbourne Set for Epic Black Sabbath Reunion Amid Health Struggles, Sharon Slams Kanye West
Legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne is set to reunite with his Black Sabbath bandmates for one last epic performance at Villa Park on July 5, in what is already being dubbed “the greatest heavy metal show ever.”
This highly anticipated event will mark the first time in 20 years that the original lineup—Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—will take the stage together. However, the performance comes with some limitations due to Osbourne’s ongoing health struggles.
In an interview with Bizarre’s Howell, Ozzy’s wife, Sharon Osbourne, opened up about the emotional weight of the event and the challenges ahead. “He’s very happy to be coming back and very emotional about this,” she shared, according to The Sun. Sharon also addressed Ozzy’s battle with Parkinson’s disease, which he was diagnosed with in 2003.
“Parkinson’s is a progressive disease. It’s not something you can stabilize. It affects different parts of the body and it’s affected his legs,” she explained. However, she reassured fans, “But his voice is as good as it’s ever been.” Ozzy himself recently reflected on his health and career on his Sirius XM radio show.
“I have made it to 2025. I can’t walk, but you know what I was thinking over the holidays? For all my complaining, I’m still alive,” the 76-year-old rocker said. “I may be moaning that I can’t walk, but I look down the road and there’s people that didn’t do half as much as me and didn’t make it.”
The concert will feature an all-star lineup, including Metallica, Alice in Chains, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Anthrax, and Mastodon, according to The Daily Mail. However, two high-profile names who won’t be welcome at the event are Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori.
The rapper reportedly used a sample of Black Sabbath’s track “Iron Man” without permission on his 2024 album Vultures—something that didn’t sit well with Sharon Osbourne. “No, not at all. I wouldn’t have him anywhere near. And his wife’s a big old floppy ae, either. And her sagging ts,” Sharon bluntly told reporters.
While excitement builds for the reunion, many fans have expressed concern over Ozzy’s ability to perform, given his recent health battles. The rock legend has undergone seven surgeries in the last five years, prompting some to question whether he’s physically up for the event.
“It wasn’t that long ago Sharon said she and Ozzy wanted to move back to the UK because of gun violence in America but said he wasn’t well enough to travel. Sounds like a miracle has happened, so let’s see if they come back now he seems healthier,” one fan remarked online, told BBC.
Despite the challenges, this final Black Sabbath reunion promises to be a historic moment for heavy metal fans, cementing Ozzy’s legacy as one of the greatest rock icons of all time.
