Miranda Lambert Determined to Make Marriage Work Amid Husband’s Flirting Scandal
Miranda Lambert is reportedly determined to make her marriage to Brendan McLoughlin work, despite recent embarrassment caused by her husband’s flirtatious behavior. However, according to a new report, the country star is giving Brendan a taste of his own medicine by engaging in some light-hearted flirting herself.
“She has a lot of people showing her attention—guys in the band, roadies, even her restaurant clientele love her, and she’s giving it back a little bit,” an unnamed source told Life & Style Magazine. The “Bluebird” singer, who is 40, has always been known for her charm, but according to the insider, she “was previously being more conservative” out of respect for Brendan, who is 32.
“Now, she’s gushing over hot guys, telling them how great their abs look, being touchy-feely. She’s not looking to cheat but is showing a more flirtatious side to her nature. Brendan doesn’t like it but only has himself to blame. When all is said and done, she doesn’t want to break up with him, but she’s put him on notice that he can’t do it again if he wants to stick around,” the source added.
The situation escalated in June when Brendan was seen dancing too closely with women at Casa Rosa, Miranda’s bar in Nashville. After the videos went viral on TikTok, an anonymous woman involved stated that their interaction was entirely innocent.
The woman, who was on a bachelorette trip, explained that she and her friends were invited into the roped-off section where Brendan was after he offered them a free shot. “We were all dancing together and laughing and talking, thanking him for helping to make our bride-to-be’s night so special and fun. He was gracious and polite and kind,” she told the outlet.
“It was just dancing, laughing, and talking. He was friendly and casual, but never inappropriate or suggestive in any way,” she clarified. Neither Miranda nor Brendan have publicly addressed the videos.
Despite the incident, the couple appears to have moved past it. By July, Brendan was featured on Miranda’s Instagram, and the pair were seen enjoying time together in Texas, where they attended a professional soccer game and visited her family.
Adding to their partnership, Miranda revealed that Brendan co-wrote her hit single “Dammit Randy,” which was released on June 28. “He got a cut on the record, so he will not shut up about it, which is very funny,” Miranda joked on Instagram. If the song reaches No. 1 on the charts, Brendan could potentially earn up to $200,000, according to a source.
“Brendan’s had ideas for songs before, but Miranda finally invited him in as a full songwriting partner. Brendan’s too young to retire and just live off Miranda’s bucks. He wants a career, too!” the insider revealed.
