Law Roach Reflects on His Special Bonds with Celine Dion and Zendaya: ‘They Changed My Life’

Celebrity stylist Law Roach has worked with some of the biggest names in fashion, but two clients hold a particularly special place in his heart: Celine Dion and Zendaya. In an emotional interview on SiriusXM’s Revelations with Bevy Smith, Roach shared how these two iconic women have profoundly influenced his life and career.
Roach fondly recalled Celine Dion’s memorable 2016 moment, when she wore a Titanic-themed sweatshirt by Vetements. That look, he explained, was a turning point. “She gravitated to it,” Roach said. “It definitely changed people’s perception of her and it changed the trajectory of my career. Celine changed my life. Giving me that opportunity to change my life.”
As per reports by Hollywood Reporter, Their relationship extends far beyond the realm of fashion. After being diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome, Dion made her return to the public eye at the 2024 Grammys, and Roach was the one she called upon to style her. “Her first thing back was the Grammys… and she called me and they said that she didn’t want to do it if I wasn’t available,” Roach revealed. “And I said, ‘I would do anything for her at any time. Whenever she calls, I’m there.’”
Roach’s partnership with Zendaya began in 2011, during her early days on the Disney Channel. He immediately recognized her superstar potential. “The day we met, we went shopping… and I’ll never forget, we left her dad and her aunt, and we just ran around,” Roach reminisced. “Her dad scolded her, like, ‘You don’t know this man. You’re running around in and out of these stores trying on clothes with this man.’”
The duo made a promise to showcase Zendaya’s authentic self to the world. Roach recalled the early challenges they faced, saying, “Begging for clothes, buying clothes on my credit card, taking them back… doing everything I possibly could.” Smith noted, “All the things you have to do when you don’t have the biggest star,” to which Roach responded, “When you don’t have it.”
Even after announcing his retirement, Roach has continued to collaborate with Zendaya, crafting iconic looks that capture the magic of their enduring partnership.
