Kanye West Failed to Secure Copyrights for a Book Title Inspired by His Wife, Bianca Censori

Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, are once again at the center of controversy, with fans claiming the couple has had “enough time in the spotlight” following their latest headline-making move after the 2025 Grammy Awards.

Just days before West, 47, and Censori made waves on the Grammys red carpet—where she wore a sheer, nude outfit—his company, Ox Paha Inc., filed a trademark application for the phrase “Wife by Husband.”

According to reports, the rapper intends to use the trademark for various types of print publications, including biographies, nonfiction works, and picture books.

This isn’t West’s first foray into publishing. He previously conceptualized and launched Selfish, a 448-page coffee-table book featuring ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s selfies. However, it remains unclear what direction West plans to take with Wife by Husband, which he officially filed to trademark on January 24.

Despite the mystery surrounding the project, fans have wasted no time in voicing their disapproval. “This is disgusting, he is disgusting, and her allowing herself to be propped up like a hood ornament is disgusting,” one social media user wrote.

Another critic added, “They’ve had enough time in the spotlight.” “They both are pigs, and I wish they would keep their marriage habits secret between themselves,” another person commented.

Some fans believe West’s behavior shows a lack of respect for his wife. “Think what you want about his music; agree or disagree with his politics; but this man has absolutely no respect for his wife,” one person noted.

West and Censori, who wed in December 2022, have frequently faced backlash over her revealing fashion choices. Most recently, Censori’s see-through nude mesh dress at the 2025 Grammy Awards—worn without underwear—stirred controversy. Initially concealed under a black fur coat, the dress quickly became a talking point online.

West, however, seems to take pride in the internet frenzy surrounding his wife’s appearance. Google search data revealed that “Bianca” was the most-searched term of the evening, fueling accusations that West is leveraging Censori’s body for publicity.
