Jeff Bezos gives Lauren Sanchez a pat on back during a vacation in the south of France
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez got a little cheeky during their summer vacation in the south of France. After holding hands while out and about, the Amazon founder, 59, can be seen giving Sánchez, 53, a tap on the back in images from their time outside.
Earlier this week, while sailing around Mallorca on his known $500 million yacht, Bezos and Sánchez took a trip on land, and both were dressed to impress.
According to Yahoo News, Bezos wore a grey shirt and white pants with a matching pair of sneakers, with a pop of color supplied by the Emmy-award-winning journalist and helicopter pilot. She chose a white dress with yellow accents and a denim jacket to go over it.
Bezos’ “Prime” hand placement came the same week that he and his partner were spotted on the luxurious 417-foot-long yacht called Koru, which is thought to be the world’s largest sailing yacht.
According to Boat International, it has three towering masts, many decks, and a supporting 250-foot-long yacht with a helipad. While Oceanco, a custom yacht builder located in the Netherlands, declined to name the boat’s owner, it was supposedly scheduled to be completed and delivered to Bezos early this year.
On the prow of the boat, there is now a wooden sculpture of Bezos’ girlfriend.
As a necklace, the Sánchez lookalike sculpture wears the Koru sign, Mori meaning loop or coil, which is based on the spiral shape of an unfurling silver fern frond. The sign is meaningful to the pair because it represents fresh beginnings, as Bezos has previously stated on his Instagram. It also represents a new stage in life, positive development, personal progress, and optimism for the future.
Bezos and Sánchez made their relationship public in 2019, following the Blue Origin founder’s divorce from his wife of 25 years, MacKenzie.
Throughout the month of May, the couple was seen hanging together multiple times, including at the American Express Presents Carbone Beach party in Miami. The outing happened only a day before the F1 Miami Grand Prix, and the couple was spotted holding hands on a red carpet, clearly pleased to be enjoying race day.
During a joint interview in 2022, Bezos stated that he intended to give away the majority of his $124 billion, with Sánchez revealing further details with WSJ. Magazine. “Jeff has always told me since I’ve known him, that he’s going to give the majority of his money to philanthropy,” she added. Sánchez also said that they put a lot of work into “strategic giving.”
“You want to give money away, and you want to know that it’s helping people and it’s going to continue to help people, and that it’s going to the right places,” she shared. “You could give it not-strategically. You can just give it away! But, we take it seriously.”
