Halle Bailey and DDG End Relationship After Nearly Three Years Together
Halle Bailey and rapper DDG have officially called it quits after being together for almost three years. The Little Mermaid actress began dating DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., in early 2022. The couple shares a son, Halo, born in December 2023, and first revealed their baby boy’s face to the public in July.
Despite their shared history, the couple has decided to part ways. DDG took to Instagram to share the news, acknowledging that the breakup was difficult. “After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways,” he wrote. “This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us.”
He also expressed gratitude for their time together, adding, “I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared. Despite the change in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true.”
While Halle has yet to publicly comment on the split, DDG emphasized that they plan to co-parent their son and asked for understanding from fans during this transition. “As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents, we cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared,” he wrote. “We ask for your understanding and support. Thank you for your love and encouragement.”
According to Daily Mail, Halle has remained private about her personal life, keeping her pregnancy and the birth of her son out of the spotlight for weeks before sharing the news with the public. “There was no way in hell I was going to share the biggest joy of my world with anyone. Halo was my gift,” she explained at the time. “He is the greatest blessing, and I had no obligation to expose him, me, or my family to that.”
The couple first sparked romance rumors in January 2022 and made their relationship public in March of that year. Despite their split, both Halle and DDG have expressed a commitment to maintaining a strong relationship as co-parents for their son.
