Actress Demi Moore has reaffirmed her deep bond with ex-husband Bruce Willis, emphasizing that he “will always be family” despite their divorce over two decades ago. In an interview with Variety, the 62-year-old actress reflected on her enduring connection with Willis, 69, while discussing her recent Academy Award nomination for The Substance.
Moore and Willis were married for 13 years before divorcing in 2000. Together, they share three daughters: Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 31. Despite their separation, Moore has remained a consistent presence in Willis’ life, especially following his health struggles.

Willis retired from acting in 2022 after being diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that affects communication. His diagnosis was later confirmed in 2023 as frontotemporal dementia, a progressive brain disorder. Since then, Moore has played an active role in his support system.
“We will always be a family, just in a different form,” Moore said, expressing her unwavering dedication to Willis. “For me, there was never a question. I show up because that’s what you do for the people you love.”

Beyond her connection with Willis, Moore has also maintained a strong relationship with his current wife, Emma Heming Willis, 46, and their two daughters, Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10. According to Variety, she visits Willis weekly and serves as a key source of support for the entire family.
Moore hopes that her family’s approach to post-divorce relationships will inspire others to find a positive and healthy path forward. “I hope it’s encouraging for others to see that there’s a different way to do things,” she shared. “There is life after divorce. There is a way to co-parent with love.”
