Chris Pratt has started the new year with a commitment to fitness, sharing his goals and a new workout routine with his followers. The actor took to Instagram on January 2 to post a video of himself back in the gym after taking a break throughout December.

“Anyone out there dealing with the December Fats? I know I am! Love handles fueled up and fluffy,” Pratt wrote in the caption, acknowledging the holiday indulgence that many can relate to.

He continued, “But that’s what the start of the new year is for!! Started Def Reset Yesterday. Knocked out day two today.” Pratt, known for his dramatic physical transformations in roles like Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy, gave fans a glimpse of his journey back to fitness.

In the video, Pratt admitted, “I took the entire month of December off. It was glorious and I gained a little bit of fluff in this section,” rubbing his stomach for emphasis. “The love handles are all fueled up. Gonna have to work on those,” he joked, giving fans an honest and relatable take on post-holiday health.

Pratt also shared his main fitness goal for the year, explaining that he aims to be in the best shape possible by the time filming begins for The Terminal List season two in March. “That gives me about 8 to 10 weeks,” he said, emphasizing the short window to achieve his goal.

“So I’m hoping to transform my body. I’m not new to this game,” Pratt continued, referencing his impressive transformations from his early days on Parks and Recreation to his current role as Marvel’s Peter Quill. His dedication to fitness and his candid approach to tackling the new year’s health goals have inspired many of his fans to embrace their own resolutions.
