Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger, the great love story of our day, celebrated two years of wedded bliss on June 8 with a hopelessly quirky anniversary post.

Pratt, 41, posted an Instagram photo of Schwarzenegger, 31, cutting his toenails in the funniest mash note ever. But “The Tomorrow War” star explained his real anniversary plans to USA TODAY while promoting his time-traveling action flick (streaming July 2 on Amazon).

The highlights included diamonds and In-N-Out burgers.

“So I bought her a nice piece of jewelry. They say the second anniversary is supposed to be wood or paper or something like that,” says Pratt, who felt compelled to raise the stakes because of his busy shooting schedule. “I went with diamonds because I’ve been gone a lot. I’m sure she won’t object. She doesn’t know that. So don’t tell her.”

(For the record: We did not spill the beans.)

Chris Pratt, Katherine Schwarzenegger: A second anniversary look at their gushing love for each other

As for In-N-Out, that idea came after the busy parents of baby Lyla Maria drove past the famed burger haven on their way home from a recent family road trip.

“We passed an In-N-Out Burger, the baby was sleeping in the back of the car. I said, ‘Wouldn’t that be fun? Should we go? We haven’t gone to In-N-Out for ages.’ She was like, ‘God, the last time we went to In-N-Out was after the ‘Avengers (End Game)’ premiere, like two years ago.’ “

This typical, rueful parental debate went on until they decided to pack it in to avoid waking the baby.

“We both just sat there a little sad that we didn’t allow ourselves the In-N-Out Burger indulgence,” says Pratt. “Then I said, what about for our anniversary? She just looked at me like, ‘Should we?’ So tonight we’re going to be just mowing on some In-N-Out burgers.”

Could that be any more romantic? But wait, there’s more.

“I’m going to put the diamond in the burger,” Pratt told us. “It could be like, ‘Wait, it’s gone already? You ate it too fast!’ And she’s wondering, ‘Why are you following me around with a paper bag?’ “

OK, he was kidding on that. But the treat went down a storm with Schwarzenegger, who posted a smooching video outside In-N-Out on Instagram and referred to Pratt as “angel face.”

“Loving you and being loved by you is the greatest,” she wrote. “I feel blessed and so grateful every single day to live life with you and have a family with you.”

Now that’s what we call a successful anniversary.
