Britney Spears’ mother shows her disappointment for not being invited to her daughter’s wedding
Star’s relationship with family is very strained after the conservatorship battle
Lynne Spears, Britney Spears‘ mother, has posted about her daughter’s wedding, to which she was not invited.
On Thursday, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari married in a ceremony at the singer’s home in Los Angeles (9 June).
The actress admitted to her fans that she “had a panic attack” before the wedding because she was so nervous.
While celebrities such as Madonna and Paris Hilton attended the wedding, which was abruptly crashed by Britney’s ex-husband, Britney’s mother, father, and sister Jamie Lynn are not reported to have been invited due to strained relations between them during Britney’s conservatorship battle, as per vanity fair reported.
Commenting on a snapshot of Britney and Asghari kissing on a balcony in one of Britney’s wedding photos, Lynne wrote: “You look radiant and so happy! Your wedding is the ‘Dream’ wedding!
“And having it at your home makes it so sentimental and special! I am soooo happy for you! I love you.”
Britney called out her mother in a since-deleted Instagram post in November last year for allegedly coming up with the concept for her conservatorship.
The post was a picture with the words: “The most dangerous animal in the world is a silent smiling woman.”
Britney’s 13-year conservatorship was ended by Judge Brenda J Penny in California the following month.
The judge restored all of the pop star’s legal powers, which had been under the supervision of two conservators since 2008, who had been managing her personal and business affairs.
Britney claimed that she was forced to wear a birth control device, take medication, and work against her will during her conservatorships.
“I just want my life back,” she told the judge in emotional testimony in the case in June 2021.
