Brock Lesnar Attacks Cody Rhodes on 4/3 WWE RAW
The April 3 edition of WWE RAW concluded with Brock Lesnar shockingly ambushing Cody Rhodes in what was meant to be a main event tag team match.
Earlier in the show, after “The American Nightmare” challenged Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa to a tag team match, Lesnar arrived at the ring to be Rhodes’ tag team partner. According to Paul Heyman, Rhodes will be banned from competing for the title again as long as Reigns holds the gold.
Lesnar put a stop to any possibility of a match taking place by hitting Rhodes with an F5. As Reigns and Sikoa exited the ring, Lesnar resumed his attack, tossing Rhodes around before dragging him outside and running him into the security barrier. He threw Rhodes back into the ring after throwing him into the steps and turnbuckle, as per Yard Barker reports.
With officials and even Adam Pearce pleading with Lesnar to stop, “The Beast Incarnate” grabbed a steel chair from outside the ring and tossed it into the ring. After setting it up in the middle of the ring, he then hit Rhodes with an F5 on it. He then grabbed a chair and threw it at Rhodes. Lesnar eventually left the arena and ended the evening by flipping off the officials and Pearce from the top of the stairs.
Despite the fact that a stretcher was carried out for Rhodes, he walked to the rear after the live transmission ended.
