Hailey Bieber admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in her brain
Hailey Bieber was hospitalized this week with a brain condition, according to TMZ, who first reported the news on Saturday morning.
The outlet confirmed that the supermodel was admitted to a hospital in Palm Springs following a “medical emergency” that doctors suspected was caused by COVID. TMZ wrote that the condition “affected the way she moved, and the symptoms are typical for much older people.” Hailey is 25 years old.
Bieber has since been released from the hospital and addressed the news on her Instagram Stories with a clear medical diagnosis. “On Thursday morning I was sitting at breakfast with my husband when I started having stroke-like symptoms and was taken to the hospital,” she wrote.
“They found I had suffered a very small blood clot to my brain, which caused a small lack of oxygen, but my body had passed it on its own and I recovered completely within a few hours. Although this was definitely one of the scariest moments I’ve ever been through, I’m home now and doing well, and I’m so grateful and thankful to all the amazing doctors and nurses who took care of me!”
She added, “Thank you to everyone who has reached out with well wishes and concern, and for all the support and love.”
Her husband, Justin Bieber, recently tested positive for COVID-19 and had to cancel a few concert dates on his Justice World Tour. He is now completely recovered from the virus and is back on the road. Hailey, in fact, attended his most recent show in Los Angeles on Tuesday and shared photos of her concert outfit on Instagram.
She took a mirror selfie backstage to show off her outfit, which included a cropped red Harley Davidson tee, purple drawstring parachute pants, and a fuzzy red and black bucket hat. “last night 🍓,” she captioned the photos.
