Jennifer Garner’s Boyfriend Reportedly Frustrated Over Her Close Ties to Ben Affleck

Jennifer Garner’s boyfriend, John Miller, has reportedly expressed concerns about her ongoing relationship with ex-husband Ben Affleck. A source told DailyMail that Miller is uneasy about Garner’s role as a “marriage counselor” between Affleck and Jennifer Lopez amid rumors of their divorce.

“Miller is trying to deal with Affleck and Garner’s relationship by mostly staying quiet, but it’s very hard to do that,” the insider revealed. According to the source, Miller understands Affleck’s presence in Garner’s life as the father of their children, but he wants to solidify his own place in the relationship.

“He knows that Affleck has to be around as a father, and he is more than OK with that, but he wants to be the man in the relationship,” the source explained. Miller reportedly avoids discussing Affleck unless Garner or their children bring him up.

“He talks about Ben when Jen talks about Ben or when their kids talk about him,” the insider added. The Cali Group CEO, who has been dating Garner since 2018, maintains a level of respect for Affleck but prefers to keep some distance.

“Miller respects Affleck, but less is more because he wants Jen for himself,” the source noted. “He still needs to figure out how to compartmentalize it all.” Adding to Miller’s frustrations is the perception that Affleck still sees Garner as a “superwoman.”

An insider previously told the outlet, “Affleck is not super concerned for Garner right now. But if that changes, he would drop everything to make sure she is OK.” Garner, who shares three children with Affleck, has long been supportive of her ex-husband, particularly during his struggles with alcoholism.
