TAMARAC, Fla. – A tragic shooting spree in Tamarac, Florida, left three dead, including Mary Gingles, 34, who reportedly ran through her neighborhood pleading for help after being shot. The Broward Sheriff’s Office alleges the killer was her estranged husband, Nathan Gingles, who is also accused of abducting their 4-year-old daughter, Seraphine Gingles, before her safe recovery hours later.
The horrific events unfolded early Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, shocking the quiet community. The nightmare began just after 6 a.m. when deputies responded to reports of gunfire at a residence. There, they found Mary’s father, David Pozner, 64, dead on the back patio, the first victim of the rampage. Inside the home, Seraphine was missing, prompting an Amber Alert naming Nathan as a suspect.

Initially, Mary was also unaccounted for and listed as a possible abduction victim, according to the Miami Herald. As the investigation unfolded, authorities discovered Mary’s body inside the home of neighbor Andrew Ferrin, 36, who had also been fatally shot. Evidence suggests Mary sought refuge there after being wounded.
A neighbor, speaking to Local 10, recounted the chilling scene: “In a bid to save her life, Mary ran to homes of her neighbors pleading for help before she was killed.” The neighbor noted Mary left footprints in her desperate attempt to escape, though her efforts were in vain.
Nathan was apprehended later that day in North Lauderdale, where Seraphine was found unharmed in his custody, ending the Amber Alert. Police allege he carried out the killings and abduction amid a volatile estrangement from Mary, intensified by a protective order he’s now charged with violating.

Nathan faces three counts of first-degree murder, plus charges of violating a protective order and interfering with custody, according to Broward Sheriff’s Office records. He is held without bond on the murder charges, with bail set at $2,500 for the custody interference count. Plea and attorney details remain unclear.
The Tamarac community mourns the loss of Mary, David, and Andrew, grappling with the senseless violence that shattered their peace. As the legal process begins, questions linger about what drove Nathan to such extremes, leaving a young child without her mother and a neighborhood forever changed.
