Diddy Files $100M Bombshell Lawsuit Against NBC Over Documentary Allegations

Sean Diddy Combs, currently incarcerated in a Brooklyn jail, has taken legal action against NBC over a documentary that details allegations against him. The embattled music mogul filed a lawsuit on Wednesday, February 12, arguing that the documentary falsely portrays him in a damaging light.

According to legal documents obtained by Page Six, Combs claims the documentary attempts to “crudely psychologize” him and paints an unfair, unfounded narrative. “It maliciously and baselessly jumps to the conclusion that Mr. Combs is a ‘monster’ and ‘an embodiment of Lucifer’ with a lot of similarities to Jeffrey Epstein,’” the lawsuit states.

The Bad Boy Records founder’s complaint directly challenges the documentary’s accusations, dismissing them as falsehoods, including claims that he was involved in the death of Kim Porter, the mother of his children. The lawsuit argues that the documentary suggests Combs “murdered the love of his life and mother to his children,” despite no official evidence of foul play ever being found.

Combs’ legal team also criticizes the inclusion of numerous alleged victims, dismissing their claims as baseless. “By maliciously advancing the unhinged narrative that Mr. Combs is a serial killer — with absolutely no evidence or logic to stand on and in the face of clear evidence to the contrary — Defendants spread fake news of the most damaging kind,” the lawsuit reads.

His lawyers further claim that NBC and Ample Entertainment, the production company behind the documentary, had been warned in December that the allegations were “unequivocally false,” “debunked,” and “lack any credible evidence.” Despite these warnings, they argue, the network proceeded with releasing the documentary’s trailer and series.

The lawsuit contends that the documentary’s content is causing “substantial reputational and financial harm” to Combs, while also interfering with his right to a fair trial. As legal proceedings unfold, Combs’ lawsuit signals an aggressive defense strategy as he seeks to combat the allegations that have led to his imprisonment. Meanwhile, NBC has yet to issue an official response to the lawsuit, but the case is expected to spark further debate over media portrayals of high-profile criminal cases.
