A 16-year-old pregnant California girl was allegedly run over and killed by a 19-year-old man she was attempting to confront for sexually abusing her underage sister, authorities said. The tragic incident, captured on doorbell camera footage, shows the harrowing aftermath as family members screamed in horror.

Kaylie Corona, who was “looking forward to becoming a mother,” was fatally struck by Isaac Blackhorse Garcia’s vehicle outside her Riverside home on Tuesday, police said. Garcia had allegedly been involved in “an inappropriate sexual relationship” with Corona’s 15-year-old sister, prompting the confrontation.

“When [Garcia] dropped the sister off at home, family members approached his vehicle,” Riverside police stated. “Blackhorse Garcia then sped away, striking the victim with his car.”

The footage obtained by KABC captured the family’s desperate cries as they rushed to Corona’s side after she was hit. She was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to her injuries. Doctors were able to deliver her baby, whom the family named Elena. The newborn remains in critical condition.

Garcia fled the scene but was later arrested on charges of murder, hit-and-run resulting in death, and two counts of illegal sex with a minor. Police also believe there may be other minors Garcia contacted and sexually abused. He is being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on April 14.

Corona’s family described her as a “radiant light” in an online fundraiser, saying she was “eagerly looking forward to becoming a mother and meeting her baby.”

“Our girl was more than just a teenager — she was a caring, loving, and joyful soul whose presence touched everyone she met,” they wrote. “She had so many dreams, so many moments ahead of her, and in the blink of an eye, all of that was stolen.”

The family is now mourning the loss of a young life full of promise while praying for the survival of baby Elena. The community has rallied around them, raising funds to support funeral expenses and medical costs for the newborn.

Riverside police are urging anyone with information about Garcia’s alleged involvement with other minors to come forward as the investigation continues.
