The View co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, 69, and Joy Behar, 82, are reportedly outraged over losing their private dressing rooms and bathrooms at the show’s new studio, according to Radar Online on Monday, February 3.
Last year, ABC relocated the long-running talk show to a state-of-the-art studio in downtown Manhattan, ending its decade-long run at the network’s Upper West Side headquarters. While none of the co-hosts—including Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin—were thrilled about the transition, insiders say Goldberg and Behar have been the most vocal critics.
Sources claim the two senior hosts have struggled to adjust to the new setup, where dressing rooms and facilities are now shared among multiple network programs.
“ABC’s decision to force the co-hosts to share their brand-new, sparkling studio and dressing rooms with other network shows has set the daytime queens grumbling,” an insider revealed. “While Tamron Hall has taken the changes in stride—even cracking jokes about leaving sticky notes for Whoopi—the fun didn’t land.”

Instead, tensions have reportedly escalated behind the scenes. “Whoopi and Joy are doubling down on their prima donna doings. They’ve made it clear that they’re the bosses,” the source continued. “The vibe is tense, with side-eyes and snide remarks flying. It’s like sharing a studio and dressing rooms is an insult.”
Tamron Hall, host of her own ABC talk show, has reportedly remained professional despite the drama. “Tamron’s been gracious, but Whoopi and Joy act like they’re too big to play nice,” the source added. “The View might bring in big ratings, but this kind of behavior is wearing thin.”
Among the co-hosts, Goldberg has been the most vocal about her dissatisfaction, particularly over losing her private en suite bathroom. “Prior to the move, she had the biggest dressing room of anybody, with a shower and toilet all to herself, and she’s gotten used to it,” the insider shared.
“She doesn’t want to share, and she’s complaining to everybody—and they’re getting sick of it.” While the co-hosts may not love the new setup, the source emphasized that The View is facing a pivotal year and that complaints about dressing rooms are not a priority.
“‘The View’ is under enormous pressure right now—as everyone knows, the show is on the line,” the insider said. “It’s a key year, and wasting everyone’s time is off-limits, but here Whoopi is, complaining loud and clear.” With tensions running high, several colleagues have reportedly told Goldberg to “get it together and stop whining.”
