Kate Middleton has received praise for her “un-victim-like” approach during a recent visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she received cancer treatment last year. Royal commentator Charlotte Griffiths highlighted the Princess of Wales’ admirable focus on supporting cancer patients, rather than seeking sympathy for her own experiences.

Speaking with GB News, Griffiths explained, “Every time somebody said, ‘Oh, you did a really good job looking after your children,’ she would take the compliment and then change it back to the cancer patient.”

She emphasized that despite the struggles Kate has faced, she doesn’t seek sympathy, adding, “She’s been through hell and back but she does not want sympathy. She just wants to support these people.” Ingrid Seward, another royal expert, also praised Kate for her handling of the situation during the hospital visit.

Speaking with The Sun, Seward noted, “When Kate met staff and patients, you felt the hugging and the comfort she was giving them was incredibly genuine.” Seward further explained that Kate has “handled this so brilliantly” and has earned a “saint-like position” in the eyes of many.

“When someone has been through something as life-threatening as Kate has, there’s a huge amount of thanks and love,” Seward added, acknowledging the emotional impact Kate’s visit had on both the staff and patients at the hospital.

Kate’s ability to shift the focus from herself to the needs of others during such a difficult time has earned her widespread admiration, reinforcing her reputation as a compassionate and empathetic figure. Despite her own health challenges, she remains dedicated to using her platform to support those battling cancer, further cementing her role as a beloved and respected member of the royal family.
