Experts Say Prince Harry May Face a Lonely Christmas as Meghan Prefers to Stay in the U.S
With the holiday season approaching, experts suggest that Prince Harry may be feeling increasingly isolated as he faces spending Christmas away from his family in the UK. According to former royal correspondent Emily Andrews, Harry has been eager to spend Christmas in the UK with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children.
However, Meghan reportedly prefers to remain in the United States. In her piece for Woman, Andrews wrote, “Prince Harry is keen to spend the Christmas holidays in the UK with his wife and children — but Meghan wants to stay in the US.” This situation has left Harry in a difficult position. Andrews added, “It’s a tricky time for Harry — he hasn’t spent Christmas here for six years, and he could be forgiven for feeling rather lonely and estranged from his Windsor relatives.”
For those less familiar with the Royal Family’s traditions, Christmas at Sandringham is a long-standing gathering where family members come together, attend church, and enjoy a festive celebration. Andrews noted, “All the royals will gather at Sandringham in December, and I’m told that all the cousins, such as Eugenie, Beatrice, Zara, and Peter Phillips, all look forward to the fun.”
However, it seems that Meghan is less interested in returning to the UK for the holidays. Majesty Magazine editor-in-chief Ingrid Seward shared insights on Meghan’s reluctance, telling Fabulous, “I think the Duchess of Sussex’s views on coming back to the UK are probably pretty negative.” Seward added, “I don’t imagine you would want to come back to a country where you are so universally disliked.”
Seward also mentioned ongoing security concerns that complicate Harry’s return. “There’s the problem of the security which is still not solved, and Harry says he won’t bring his wife and children back here until he feels that he is in a secure position,” she explained. As Christmas draws near, the decision may leave Harry feeling more isolated, especially if he spends another year separated from his British family during one of their most cherished traditions.
