Cardi B Claps Back at Critic with Savage Body-Shaming Comeback in Plastic Surgery Feud

Cardi B isn’t letting accusations get to her, whether they come from her estranged husband Offset, or critics questioning her appearance just a month after giving birth to her third child.
Following cheating accusations from Offset, the “WAP” rapper, 31, is now facing rumors of undergoing plastic surgery to lose baby weight shortly after delivery. These allegations gained traction on social media platform X when Cardi posted a video showing off her slender waist and hourglass figure while standing in front of a full-length mirror.
In the video, the Grammy-winning artist explained that she’s been losing weight everywhere except her face since giving birth. However, some critics were quick to speculate that she had cosmetic surgery. One commenter claimed that the rapper’s “stomach always looks like it’s about to rip apart” and criticized her for “focusing so much on how you look.”
Cardi didn’t hold back, firing back at the critic by comparing their appearance to a “potato.” She responded, “B***, you literally look like a f***** potato yet you talking bout my looks with a passion. This why I be dragging you b** by yall draws cause b*** why you got soo much nerves.”
To further shut down the speculation, Cardi re-tweeted a post from someone pointing out that it’s not medically possible to undergo such procedures until at least six months after giving birth, reinforcing her defense.
The controversy erupted while Cardi was already fielding questions about her appearance during Paris Fashion Week, where she showcased her slim figure. Addressing the rumors, she insisted that her extreme hourglass shape was due to her girdle, not surgery.
“Y’all really need to relax. This is what my body REALLY LOOKS LIKE,” she tweeted, sharing photos of herself in a nude dress and a black dress. Cardi clarified, “My body looks exaggerated in the other video cause I have a 5X faja [girdle] on… I want yall to think wit yall brain.. Yall was just praising my body couple days ago… do yall think I went and got surgery in 2 days?”
Cardi B, who welcomed her third child with Offset on September 7, 2024, shortly after filing for divorce, has remained vocal about the changes in her body and has consistently defended herself against the rumors, emphasizing her authenticity and pushing back against her critics.
