Former President Donald Trump stirred controversy during a weekend rally in Wisconsin with a comment that alarmed political observers. Known for his incendiary remarks, Trump, who continues to face accusations of inciting violence during the January 6th Capitol riot, added to his contentious rhetoric while addressing his supporters.

During his speech, Trump battled a fly on stage and criticized his campaign members, calling them “so stupid.” However, it was his off-hand remark about Vice President Kamala Harris’s supporters that raised the most eyebrows.

“Is there anybody here who’s going to vote for lyin’ Kamala?” Trump asked the crowd. “Actually, I should say I don’t raise your hand, it would be very dangerous. We don’t want to see anybody get hurt. Please don’t raise your hand.” The comment immediately drew attention, with some political onlookers interpreting it as a thinly veiled threat.

Kamala Harris’s campaign quickly responded by sharing the video clip on social media. They captioned it, “Trump says it’s ‘very dangerous’ for Kamala Harris voters to identify themselves because they’ll ‘get hurt.'” The video sparked debate online, with many questioning Trump’s intentions behind the comment.

David Rommel, a retired research engineer, took to social media to declare his support for Harris, despite Trump’s warning. “I’m voting for Kamala! I’m a Republican that is not opposed to taking on that challenge,” he wrote. “The only thing that scares me is Trump winning another term. When Trump is in prison and they are all arrested for rioting we can all take a breath of fresh air.”

The incident also caught the attention of popular online accounts, including CALL TO ACTIVISM, founded by attorney Joe Gallina. The account questioned Trump’s remark, posting, “What the hell does this mean? Donald Trump says it’s ‘very dangerous’ for Kamala Harris voters to identify themselves because they’ll ‘get hurt.’ Is that a threat??”

Another account, AesPolitics1, known for its liberal commentary, responded with outrage: “Trump says it’s ‘very dangerous’ for Kamala Harris voters to identify themselves because they’ll ‘get hurt.’ Never before in history have we seen an anti-American piece of s— as bad as Trump.”

Trump’s comment has ignited concerns over the rhetoric he uses at his rallies, especially as he campaigns in swing states. With his history of incitement under scrutiny, critics argue that his words continue to provoke division and potentially incite violence among his supporters.
